Eligibility Requirements: Student Visa
It’s essential to be informed of the prerequisites for a German student visa in advance to prevent delays. The eligibility criteria are listed below and have been provided for the students’ benefit:
- Choose your university in Germany.
- Certified copies of your academic mark sheets and certificates.
- Opening a blocked bank account as proof of Financial resources.
- Admission letter from your German university
The processing time for a Germany long-stay study visa may take from 6-12 weeks from the application day.
German's upcoming Intakes:
Two times every academic year, students are admitted to German colleges & universities.
- Summer Term- The summer semester is from March to August. The application must be submitted prior to January 15th every year.
- Winter Term- The winter semester is between September to February / October to March. The application must be submitted prior to July 15th every year
Requirements for German Student Visas:
- Valid Passport
- Authenticated copies of your 10th, 12th, and degree certificates
- Experience letter (If applicable)
- Score sheet of exams like TOEFL, IELTS etc.
- Application form & declaration (in accordance with Section 54 of the Residence Act) duly signed.
- Declaration for Additional contact and legal representation information.
- Statement of purpose / Motivation letter
- Proof of admission at a German education institution.
- Curriculum vitae.
- Proof of financial means- Blocked account for the first year of your stay, amounting to 11.208,– €
- 3 passport pictures according to biometric specifications, not older than 6 months
- A Visa fee of 75 € payable in INR only
- Student health insurance. It must have at least 30,000 EUR coverage, and it must be valid for at least 3 months.
- Submitting your parent’s documents certifying their income and financial assets
You need to prepare two identical application sets with the above-mentioned documents and bring your original certificates as well as your original employment contract along. Please DO NOT staple any documents.
