The Student visa (subclass 500) visa allows you to live, work and study in Australia for a maximum of five years, in line with your course.
Eligibility Requirements: Student Visa (Subclass 500)
It’s essential to be informed of the prerequisites for an Australian student visa in advance to prevent delays. The eligibility criteria are listed below and have been provided for the students’ benefit:
- Be enrolled in a course of study and provide evidence. The course you want to take must be on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS).
- Be a certain age.
- If you are under 18, make welfare arrangements.
- Meet English language requirements.
- Have adequate health insurance. Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) from an approved Australian health insurance provider.
- Have enough money for your stay.
- Be a genuine temporary entrant.
- Must meet the character requirement.
- Must meet the health requirement.
- Sign the Australian values statement.
Australia's upcoming Intakes:
Two times every academic year, students are admitted to Australian colleges & universities.
- Semester 1 (February Intake)- with a deadline of October- November
- Semester 2 (July Intake)- with a deadline of April-May
Requirements for Australia Student Visas:
- Valid Passport
- Authenticated copies of your 10th, 12th, and degree certificates
- Experience letter (If applicable)
- English proficiency certificate

- Proof of enrolment (your electronic Confirmation Of Enrolment)- COE

- Your Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) statement
- Evidence of financial ability (tuition fees, living expenses, expenses for dependents, return airfare)- Bank Statements, evidence of grants or scholarships.
- Supply proof of your parent’s or partner’s annual income, which must be AUD$62,222 in the year immediately before you apply. If you bring family members, the annual income must be at least AUD$72,592.
