Eligibility Requirements: Student Visa
It’s essential to be informed of the prerequisites for a New Zealand student visa in advance to prevent delays. The eligibility criteria are listed below and have been provided for the students’ benefit:
- A passport that is up to date and has a minimum remaining validity of 3 beyond your stay.
- To be accepted for a course at an education institute approved by the Ministry of Education or the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA).
- Money for your tuition fees or proof that you have a scholarship that pays your fees.
- Proof you have enough money to live on while you’re in NZ.

Processing time of Student Visa:
New Zealand's upcoming Intakes:
Three times every academic year, students are admitted to New Zealand colleges & universities.
- Semester 1 – February to June
- Semester 2 – July to November
Requirements for New Zealand Student Visas:
- Valid Passport
- Authenticated copies of your 10th, 12th, and degree certificates
- Experience letter (If applicable)
- Score sheet of exams like IELTS.
- An offer letter from an approved education provider.
- Two passport-sized photographs.
- Completed Student Visa Application Form (INZ 1012).
- The receipt of your visa application fee.
- A recent Curriculum Vitae.
- 2 or 3 letters of recommendation or reference (LOR)
- Intent Letter.
- Statement of Purpose (SOP)
- Proof of payment of tuition fees or sufficient funds to pay the fees.
- Documents Proving that you have sufficient funds to live there.
- Medical certificate
- Police clearance certificate
- Proof that you will have access to enough funds to support yourself for the duration of your study programme: you will need to provide NZ$15,000 for each year of study.
New Zealand Student Visa Fees:
- Student visa fees is NZD $430 per visa application & INR ₹1010 Passport Fee at Receiving Centre(VAC)
